Someone asked my husband why we were going apple picking when we could just get apples from the store. Clearly...everyone has different definitions of fun. And for us, getting our apples right off the tree, feeding carrots to donkeys and eating apple cider donuts is FUN!
The apples are so sweet and delicious this year. I'm gonna go nuts baking and eating these puppies. The fruit in our house is actually kind of hysterical. There are summer strawberries and blueberries and now all of these apples. Time to bridge that gap in between summer and the 15 seconds of fall that we get here in Colorado. I'll soak them all up though and dream of living back east where they actually have 4 seasons...
